Adam Strachan

Chief Engineer, Intramotev

Adam Strachan is the Chief Engineer at Intramotev, a St. Louis-based manufacturer of self-propelled battery-electric railcars. With more than 15 years of experience in the rail industry, he has held key engineering roles at Wabtec, Mott MacDonald and Ansaldo STS (Hitachi), where he oversaw large-scale rail projects such as Rio Tinto’s AutoHaul, and played a critical role in the implementation of Positive Train Control (PTC) technology. Adam holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Communications from Curtin University and a Diploma of Project Management from Swinburne University of Technology.
