Brian Mentzer

Superintendent, Belleville Township High School District 201

Brian Mentzer is an accomplished educator and administrator with a commitment to excellence in education and community service. He currently serves as Superintendent of Belleville Township High School District #201, a position he has held since 2020 after serving eight years as Assistant Superintendent of the district. Mentzer began his career in education more than 25 years ago as a teacher in Belleville School District #118 and worked his way up to serve in various leadership roles that include principal, director of Title I and director of buildings and grounds. Mentzer is a member of the Illinois Association of School Administrators, the Illinois Association of School Business Officials and the Illinois Principals Association. He is President of the Franklin Neighborhood Community Association, actively involved as a member of the Ainad Shriners and Ainad Shriners Hospital Unit and serves on the United Way Board.
